Welcome Message from Vice President of Membership

Dear Potential New Member,

Congratulations on becoming a Fresno State Bulldog! I'm glad you have interest in becoming a part of our unique Panhellenic Community, the best decision you can make while you're here at Fresno State! Going Greek is more than joining a social organization. Sorority membership provides you with endless opportunities for community service, leadership development, academic excellence, and lifelong friendships.

Panhellenic holds formal recruitment once a year, about six weeks after school begins in the fall. Each PNM will go through a mutual selection process with the chapters to find a chapter that holds their personal values and suits them best. There are three rounds of recruitment themed for our three core values. PNMs will visit fewer chapters each round until they find a home and receive a bid on bid day. From there Potential New Members become New Members and begin the best years of their lives!

There are 5 Panhellenic sororities on our campus, all based on three core Panhellenic values: Sisterhood, Service and Scholarship. While all chapters hold these similar principles, each has its own ritual and traditions, offering a meaningful history and lifelong friendships, making it a smaller part of our larger Panhellenic community.

Our Recruitment Team, Recruitment Counselors and chapters have been diligently working to improve our recruitment process and make it the best it has ever been. The Recruitment Team is training 20 fun-loving and devoted Panhellenic women to provide you assistance throughout the Recruitment weekend. Stephanie, Maelyn, Alyssa and I have been working side-by-side with the Chapter Recruitment chairs, Panhellenic Executive Council, Rho Gammas, and Greek Life staff to ensure the best Recruitment yet!

As the Panhellenic VP Membership, I am proud to represent Greek Life for my university and I encourage you to take the first step into adding a new chapter to your story. May this be your stepping stone into finding love in letters.

In Panhellenic Pride,

Emily Marshall
